We've all thought about the possibility of a cashless society - the notion that cash is the past, that plastic is the future and that if we really felt like it, we could live without paper money and coins without a problem.
Some of us have even tried to live cashless for a while, surviving as best we can on living without notes or coins. Deep down though, you always knew that if you really had to, you could swing past an ATM and draw some cash to bail you out of those awkward situations.
But what if you couldn't? Or wouldn't. What then?
This is the question that GoCashless is asking and, over the next three months, attempting to answer.
To do this, GoCashless has enlisted the help of a man who is up for any challenge, a man whose transacting knows no boundaries and a man with the ability to put the experience into words. He's also prepared to live without cash. For anything. For three months.
He is Andy, the Cashless Ambassador.

A debit card. That's debit, not credit - we don't want to rack up three months of expenses that Andy can't remember. That's no way to budget in a recession.
For three months, if Andy needs cash to pay for something, he can't buy it. Unless he can run faster than the guy behind the register (joke). Seriously though, if he can't swipe his debit card or manage an electronic payment, he can't have it. Full stop.

You follow. You query. You interact. You become part of the movement.
GoCashless is about 3 things. Educating, entertaining and interacting - we'll need you for the last one. That's why we've made it so easy to comment on the blog posts, or upload your own videos and pictures. You can even challenge Andy to a task of cashless proportions.
Tell you what. Just to make it worth your while, we'll give you prizes for staying in touch. What kind of prizes? Find out here
Alternatively, get involved immediately and sign up for Andy's weekly newsletter - he's a funny guy, you'll like him.
